Ah, the good old days when the Lions were only 20-57 bad under Millen (photo: Dave Hogg)
If you're in the pro football business, you want to work for the Ford family. They must be the NFL team owners most loyal to those running their franchise ever. Three games into his eight season as Detroit Lions CEO & General Manager, Matt Millen has a 31-84 record. He must be doing one hell of a job at the CEO part of that title. The family offered and Millen accepted a 5 year contract extension after his first five losing seasons with the Lions. Of course, the team has continued to lose since. According to Wikipedia, Millen is the league's second highest paid GM. This year, fruit of his stewardship is laughable with an 0-3 start so by Lion Logic he must be due for a ten year contract extension and a big raise.
